Massive Bag was a puppet/animated sequence generated being a co-production involving Children's Television Workshop and Cartoon Community from 1996 to 1998. Developed and executive made by previous Sesame Road producer Nina Elias Bamberger, the program was an earlier morning weekend series geared toward pre-schoolers and intended to fulfill the network's academic quota. Kevin Clash served as creative expert, and his personal character Elmo made a guest look in the 2nd period episode "Elmo's Go to," where it really is revealed that Elmo and Chelli had been pen pals.
